About Me:

I’m an interdisciplinary scholar of American Religious History with an area of expertise in religion and higher education. My teaching, writing, and research spans the secular, academic study of religion and more confessional theological studies. Much of my time and energy is spent between church and campus.

This Substack will include reflections on updates on my own writing and research, including my work on Religion and Higher Education, American Religion and Politics, Baptist Studies, and more.

I currently teach at Mercer University in Macon, GA where I teach interdisciplinary writing courses. I am a member of First Baptist Church of Christ in Macon. You can find out more about me at my professional website.
